This agency overview has been prepared to help you get to know us better and to give you current information on the programs and services we offer. Each of our programs is outlined in detail, including eligibility criteria, key program personnel, and referral information for your convenience.

Since our humble beginnings in 1882, Family Services mission has remained steadfast - to strengthen family life in Northwestern Pennsylvania by providing counseling, education and advocacy programs to individuals and families.

We are proud of our commitment to the communities we serve, and, as we journey through the new millennium, we will strive to meet the changing needs of the families and individuals that we serve.

Thanks to United Way funding, Family Services is able to offer counseling services to individuals without insurance at no cost or at very low cost. Additional grant funding allows the agency to provide counseling services free of charge to any adult county resident who is actively enrolled in Medicaid. The agency also accepts most major insurances. Services can address a variety of concerns including marital difficulties, parenting concerns, family problems, and individual adjustment issues. Social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists who have extensive counseling experience are available for both day and evening appointments.
